9-11 Survivors Press Congress for Right to Sue Saudi Government

Robert (Bob) Bianchi, Esq., appeared on Fox News Happening Now with host Jon Scott and co-guest Brian Claypool to discuss a Bill passed by Congress to allow the survivors of 9-11 and their families to sue the Saudi government in the United States courts for the loss of their loved ones- – claiming the Saudi government contributed to their deaths.

The Bill while well intentioned runs afoul of a doctrine called sovereign immunity which countries have agreed to in 1976 to prevent nations from suing US government officials in foreign lands, and vice versa. This Bill has significant national security problems, not to mention to me will not get the victims the relief they are looking for.
