When I was the prosecutor, I was commissioned by the ten Attorney Generals to assist in revamping the Attorney General Guidelines on Internal Affairs practices in New Jersey. Since then, the guidelines have been further updated.
Of particular debate at the time, was the inclusion of provisions requiring that police officers be truthful and credible in their police reports and testimony.
