I enjoyed spending the day at Fox News and then MSNBC to discuss the jury deliberations and verdict in the NH prep school rape case.
This is an interesting case as to me the victim and the defendant lied in my mind when they testified. Each had a motive to lie, and as I boldly predicted before the verdict, the jury would figure that out as well. And they did. The verdict was entirely consistent with the evidence.
Trial law is a fascinating profession. You really have to be an “astute observer of human nature” to be a great trial attorney. And in the area of criminal defense and criminal prosecution, you learn a lot about people and their behaviors along the journey.
